Equilibrium Restored

Upon turning on the hallway tank light this morning I discovered one of my new borneo suckers dead on the gravel, the male black molly not doing to well and another borneo M.I.A.

I was devastated.

So both the black mollies and the last borneo sucker have been relocated to the hospital tank to get over their obviously harrowing night. Unfortunately the male died mid morning.

I was surprised about the black molly male getting attacked, considering none of the platies or guppies do... perhaps it was his striking colour?

It also seems that borneos are not as moxy as bristlenoses. I have had bristlenose catfish in with the clown and pakistani loaches many a time with never a problem.

Oh well, lesson learned... :(

Hallway Community Aquarium

My friend Ruth and I went to go see Tony this morning up at ClearwaterAquariums Corrimal. My mission was to add a few more interesting fish to the 2 foot community aquarium at the end of the hall. And oh my did we have fun!

I ended up bring home:

6 striped kuhli loaches,

3 borneo suckers,

a pair of black dwarf mollies,

3 bumblebee gobies and

a pair of golden panchax

plus lots and lots of plants to replenish my supply.

I also have a microworm culture to start up so I am prepared for when the Kribensis babies come along.

So now the hall tank looks bursting with colour and activity. Now it has in it -

Pakistani Loaches

Clown Loaches

Kuhli Loaches (yes I do love my loaches lol)

Borneo Suckers

Neon Tetras

Guppies

Platys

Dwarf Mollies.

The golden panchax and the bumblebee gobies ended up in other tanks.

I was told that the golden panchax can make tetras disappear so I decided not to risk it.
